On the 16th and 17th of Dec, 2016, another group led by Jeff went to the Orang Asli villages to continue teaching English under the Literacy Programme. Irene, Lisa and Ann May came back with much thankfulness and excitement over what they had experienced. For Irene, this was her fourth trip of the year and the most meaningful. She said, “Previously, I just helped to take care of the children while the others were teaching English but on this trip, I knew that God had a purpose for me there. His purpose was for me to use the nursing skill that I have acquired all these years.”
Are you thinking of going for a short term mission trip to East Malaysia? Learn how to share your personal testimony, share a gospel message, lead someone to say a prayer of salvation, lead a small group devotion and even share a sermonette. These skills will also be useful to communicate with the Orang Asli people of Peninsular Malaysia. The skills will be taught in Bahasa Malaysia by Pastor Jeremy over a period of six weeks on Saturdays.
